A Poem: What a Mommy Needs

| |

what a mommy needs

A cup of coffee to start her day

a child’s kiss to warm her heart

exercise to oxygenate her brain

a book to feed her mind

a best friend with whom to share her thoughts

a date with dad for the romance

a glass of wine to relax,

but above all,

time alone to find herself at last.
